Ship won't sink properly
I made a ship with a scuttle. I wanted the ship to sink like a normal ship and tilt forward. In the front of the ship theres some compartments with doors on the bottom. I thought the ship would tilt to the front or the side but for some reason water floods the entire bottom deck. I've tried to change the doors, seal the doors shut with blocks, seal the watertight doors with blocks put a second layer of blocks on the walls to seal holes even though there aren't any, etc ect. I'm at a loss and don't really know what to do.

Sharing your creation via the workshop may help diagnosing the problem.
Is your front compartment totally sealed from the rest of the buoyant hull? If not, that may be the cause of the behaviour you're witnessing.

Plus, I may be mistaken, but I don't believe sinking ships always tilt forward. It really depends where the damage happened. (I may be somewhat technically illiterate, but I have played my share of Silent Hunter 3 and sneakily watched a fair number of ships sink in a variety of fashions.)

In this case we'd definitely have to see the creation to diagnose the problem.

As far as ships sinking... ships sink based on damage. If the damage is on the front and they have sectioned compartments, then yes, it could tilt forward. Even then, ships are very robust things, and while tilting forward would likely cripple the ship, it necessarily would not sink it.

In most cases anything relatively modern doesn't really sink barring exceptional circumstances. Apart from few and far between freak accidents, for most ships, the worst it can do is capsize with catastrophic damage, but it'll never actually go under.

Thank you for commenting, I have a video show the interior if you want to see what's wrong

That's weird indeed. Could it be because there are portholes the game engine assumes all the compartments are connected and constitute a single volume? The idea came to mind when I saw you jump through one of those at one point.

There must be some connection on non-watertight component used as a wall between the volumes. Keep in mind that all components don't seal water in despite how they look.

Could you upload the vehicle so we can have a look at it?

Rashtek Frites, I've sealed it shut using blocks. I'm not to sure if thats enough so you might be right.

Ra-Ra-Rasputin, I'll try to put it up on the workshop so maybe we can get some answers.

You are right not all ships tilt forwards it does depend where the damage had happened think of the HMHS Britannic, RMS Lusitania, not all ships even sink forwards they will sometimes sink Stern first like the Estonia did in 1994 And the Costa Concordia in 2012 at italy It will depend of if the ship had been damaged somewhere sometimes it is a collision to the side like the RMS Empress of Ireland, Dona Paz, and other ships that were hit on the side sometimes though it is caused from Inside of the Ship or the Ship is sinking from Natural disasters such at the fictional ship The Poseidon sometimes ships will sink because of something from the inside or outside of the hull

Sirius Platoon Terminator I don't care what way my ship tilts whether its toward the bow, stern, left or right of the ship. I sort of just want it to not have any tilt. Personally I think it would be kinda cool to see it tilt to the side or front.

Tiny pointless correction: Estonia sank in 1994.
I know this because i was on Silja Europa with my parents when it happened, i was a whole 7 years old. Europa was the first ship to arrive on the scene as a rescue ship

As far as the boat goes, the leak is somewhere in the cordoned area.

You'll find that the pink wall i added fixes the issue entirely. Unfortunately i'm a bit brain drained now so i can't find the specific spot
