Report a translation problem
The Customize Difficulty options are then to be found in the upper right part of the Game Mode configuration screen, it's a column of tickboxes.
If you change the Difficulty setting on the topmost left dropdown menu for example, you should see the tickboxes change accordingly. From there you can simply read their description and you'll be free to select or unselect them to suit your taste.

Basic mode was removed from the game, now you're on advanced by default.
