All I'm saying that it was probably the best idea I have seen on these forums, but I don't know how it ended, was there any response from devs, or anything?
Now as for icebergs... I would argue they are already implemented!
For instance, you can build an all white iceberg-shaped thing that floats and acts just like an iceberg. Just need to create associated missions that put some icebergs in play.
However I don't know much about developing a game so I don't know what am I talking about.
Creating scenarios by yourself, building icebergs and debris to navigate trough isn't that entertaining and exciting, as playing the game that lets you navigate your ship/submarine trough frozen sea/ocean.
It would also be a good way of adding new "missions" such as:
• Delivering new scientists to camps
• Helping scientists to study the flora and fauna (just as now, by getting the samples)
• Recovering drones or anything like that from the snow/ice
• Delivering fuel
• Delivering warm clothes and food/water
• Helping to get the stuck/frozen ship out of the ice
etc..
I would even pay for such thing as DLC, to be honest I got bored of this quite fast, after finishing my ship, with proper gear and mechanisms every mission was quite easy for me, I tried to simply waste my time building new vehicles, however I suck at logic components so my experiments were not successful. So I went to explore the world and it became quite boring as well, there was nothing, no threat from hostile environment, hostile people, no "laws", no nothing, just swiming straight forward untill I ran out of fuel. That's why I was so hyped for various new biomes.
Perhaps time to revisit logic components then? Were the ship and mechanisms created in Advanced Vehicle mode?
Also wasn't necessarily suggesting you needed to create the missions... Maybe the devs will revisit missions and provide a few (or dozens?) more once the game is closer to release.
