How to find seed for a map?

I have a really nice non-advanced map, and I want to make one that's advanced, so i want to find the seed. How do I do this?

Unfortunetely there's currently no way to find that out ingame (they should add that, it's certainly simple enough)

But you can find it in your save files (I'm assuming you're on windows):

- type "%appdata%\stormworks\saves" without the quotes in the search box in the start menu (this is just a shortcut for the stormworks folder that is in your windows user folder)

- open the folder of the save you want to see the seed for

- there'll be a file there called "scene.xml", open it with any text editor

- search for "tiles seed", and there you go.

The scene XML file is empty for all my saves (They were opened through internet explorer 11)

huh, that's weird, try opening them with notepad instead

Open the save with that map, pause the game and look at the upper left corner on screen. There will be seed wrote in grey color.
