Questions for Switch between Engineroom/Bridge control & More
I'm using this Engine: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1582928223

With a Gearbox/Automatic Transmission as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw3WKarhiCE&t=455s

What I'm trying to do is figure out how to have the ability to:

A. Switch the Throttle from the lever in the Engine room, to the W/S controls in the pilot house.
B. Disengage the main propellors from the engine so that the engine can continue turning at 0.79 at idle but stop the propellor from turning so the boat doesn't slowly move off while I'm doing something and the engine is still on.
C. How to get the gearbox to go into "reverse".

Edit: Added link to the Workshop of the ship.

A. use A numerical switchbox. one input from seat, one from lever. Use A button to cycle between two controls

B. use A clutch

C. there's an option in gearbox for 1/-1 gear ratio

OK! I cut out the Automatic gearbox entirely and reworked the vehicle to two engines with a direct drive to the propellors (Not counting the clutch).

I still haven't implemented reverse, but I'm noticing that no matter what I do I cannot get my ship over 5 knots. It accelerates to 8 and then immediately drops down to 5 and refuses to go any higher no matter what I do with the throttle. I love puttering around, but 5 knots is abysmal and makes the vehicle nigh useless in a search and rescue or just... anything environment.

Can someone take a look at the OP workshop "Early WIP Ship" and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

This is the latest version of my ship. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong, One engine is running at a significantly lower rate than the other despite being hooked up identically. I can't get over 5 RPM from either of them and that doesn't change whether I turn the clutch on or off or move the throttle.
