Gamepad support?

Looks like it's not working at all ingame but it is in controls menu with just button's numbers, is it possible to play with it now? Is full gamepad support planned?

Try opening the game in Steam BIGPicture mode,,, it will ask you to setup a popular joystick script, It should then also work outside of this mode once you set it up the first time then exit.
I play this game in VR os bigpicture moode is an easy shortcut for setting up games that dont support or fully support gamepads and sticks

i have a logitech extreme 3d pro and i tried millions of times but it doesnt work please help me

Gamepads currently work with vehicles. It is possible to do the whole walking and whatnot with a Steam Controller of course, but motion as such isn't supported for walking or workbench (and i hope it won't be for workbench, as that would require significant simplification of it)

Don't know if it's helpful, or if you already know this, but in-game, try pressing the enable joypad button ("J" by default I think). You should see a little orange joypad icon appear on screen.

Like Ra-Ra-Rasputin says, it can't be used for workbench or walking around, but can be used to control vehicles. I agree, I don't want it supported for workbench either, as this would likely dumb everything down.

As before, gamepads work perfectly fine with vehicles when enabling the joystick mode (J, by default). You wouldn't want to operate the editor with a gamepad in any case.

I just tested, all Xinput gamepads work, Steam controller works and 2 different DirectInput gamepads work.

I will add say i also have my keyboard keys cusytom as i'm lft handed and can's play with wasd i us arrows and left hand on mouse not sure if that affects gamepad

A weird thing is happening with my Xbox one controller with the throttle of plane etc it keeps getting stuck in full positive and negative positions is it because I don't have a whole hotas seat?

No, you don't need HOTAS seat for it. Any seat works. I haven't played the game in a while but make sure to enable joystick mode with J.
Keep in mind if your controls aren't set to reset on the seat it might also do strange things.
