Submarine Ballast Issue?
Hello and Happy New Year!

These days I worked on a small maintenance electric submarine in my career mode to complete the Rig Sensor mission. It consists in a small cockpit with one pilot seat and two pax seat and a big battery (plus all the controls for lights / ballast pumps and a cockpit drain pump system).
To help going down I put two side ballast tanks with separate in/out pumps and level sensors connected to both Capacity and Level Readers. Total capacity is 5700 ltrs per tank and I saw ship starts to sink at around 5300 - 5500.
I tried both pumping water in and out, and seems to be working, but if I fill up the tanks completely so to obtain negative buoyancy (sinking like a rock) once I touch the bottom when I start pumping out the water, it doesn't work anymore.

Any suggestions?

Has it to do with the touching of the bottom or some other reason why pumps are not working anymore?

P.S. I checked battery and level was over 0.98

Pressure. Simple pump preassure is 10 m, large is 100m. Below this depths they wil not be able to pump water out. You need to cascade them to do the job.

There is no such a thing as all-depth sub. There are always a limit.

Got it, meaning that I need to understand the "neutral buoyancy" ballast quantity and go up and down with thrusters (which is a hellish difficult thing to make...I tried with 4 small electrical motors and 4 small propellers...ended up spinning around during the trial run)
