Tried it out, but the pumps don't work right, pressure stays negative, and raising the tanks to get positive pressure doesn't increase max rpm.... thought i could turbocharge the engine ^^
Edit : since update, engine needs positive fuel pressure to run it seems, get your pumps running guys.
You can build a fuel tank as a "sealed" compartment, put a fluid generator in there, set to diesel. These will need a fuel pump, but as far as I can tell only to get the engine started. If you run a T off before and after, around the pump, once the engine is running the pump can shut down.
-Long story short it dident work for a long time not even with pipes streight up and onto the deck.
to make the story short the engine first started working once i used fluid pump's.
So i connected on pump for each fuel/excaust/air/cooling in/out with a pump, and after I did this the engine worked instant.
I did by the way build a very simple engine setup on the deck of the ship above water level, and the engine did not require any pumps at all to work since the build in pumps inside the engine was strong enough to do the job..
It seem that the game mechanics is that if you are above sea level the engine are easy to setup and dont require extra help.
if you are below the water line ( maybe more than 5x blocks ) then you need pipes to above the water AND fluid pumps.
Well at least it worked for me this way.
Only problem i have now is that i barely can generate enough electricity to recharge the battery even with the usage of a gearbox and clutch ect ect.. anyway maybe i figure something out later ;-)
By the way it would be nice if we could see how much electricity 1 single part uses so we could calculate where to save electricity or how much our geneators need to make at peak perfomance ;-)
