As the topic says - How do you refuel?

Fuel Truck with fluid hose and connecter.

Where do you get the fuel truck?

+1 I also like to know where to refuel. I build a new tiny ship, and tank is empty when you build it, and running your ship on battery will come to a stop rather fast if we have no engine to power the battery again ;-)

click fuel tank and select it to hold diesel..

On the engine itself notise there are several holes in it.
Select a pipe and hold it so you touch one of the holes, then you get some help text what hole is for what thing... example one hold is for air, one for fluit, one for diesel ect ect..

I made a Fuel Truck. Respawn the ship should refill your tanks.

Did you find a way to trasnfer fluid in advanced mode with winches to other vehicles?

So there's no way to BUY the fuel, as in canisters or something? What I had in mind is creating a truck, filling it up with diesel and booyah. But those large tanks are not really great, their holding capacity is low. So there's no place at bases in which you can get fuel?

As far as I can tell, there is no way to spawn fuel ingame. My own plan was to build a custom base with a giant fuel tank, a winch and a fluid connector to refuel my boats, but didn't have time to do it yet.

The workaround for now is to respawn a ship (which can't be done in highest difficulty soooo... Let's hope the devs will add fuel stations soon.)

You can respawn your ship in highest difficultlty if you drive it into building area and "edit". It works fine for me - rather realistic

Can't wait for additional fueling items

Is there an answer to this yet for career mode? It kinda sucks a bit that fueling depots or something aren't available in the very beginning so we can build more complex boats and still use them for more than a few minutes. I'm really hoping that I've just missed something.

There is a fluid spawn block which allows you to build custom tanks, so you're not restricted to the standard fuel tanks. I'm still building though, so haven't run the issue of trying to refuel a ship that's running low. Does the fuel state save when you save game, or does your tank re-fill when you reload a save?

Sup.
Building your own fuel tank is a better opinion. Much larger and it's not that hard. Build some sort of a tank, place a fuel port with a pump on it, additional you can put a fuel meter in it and the most important, a fluid spawner.
And boom! Your own tank.
Kladdey Oct 2, 2018 @ 3:15am
Where do you get the fluid spawner?
iheartmyocd Oct 2, 2018 @ 3:28am
No fuel port, no pump, no fuel meter, and no fluid spawner available to start career mode. Crap. I was really hoping the devs might have stuck refuling spots alongside the docks in game or summat.

I have a slightly different issue with this... So I took an old tanker truck design off the workshop and I re-built it in advanced mode. I got everything working, including a hose reel and fluid connector on the end. The tanker spawns full of diesel thanks to the fluid spawner, I drive it over, hook up to my little test ATV with empty fuel tank, connecte everything up.

I power on the fuel pump on tanker ANNNDDDDDD.... ZIPP nada, nothing.

The tank on my atv doesn't refil, what gives?!?!?

Found the answer in testing, you have to put a valve on so that the fuel tank can be isolated from the engine. Once I turned the valve to the engine off I was able to pump fuel into the tank.
