yes.
Is lets say I take the default chopper and want to make the main body of it longer/bigger. You cant just disconnect the tail section and slide the main boby forward to add more on,you have to delete and make an entire new tail section?
Or am I really missing something here?
I had the same problem with the default boat
KSP allows what I mentioned and makes things so much easier. Plus you can prefab parts to use across many builds,I didnt see that feature here either.
Hopefully they make it in eventually.
-Unselect the object
-Copy and paste
-Merge a part to an other etc etc
But we have to remember that Stormworks only has something like one week and is in Alpha so i stay optimistic although i could say that a lot of things are missing.
I'm hoping the devs will update often the game and i'm hurry to see all the actions/keys that we mentionned :)
Still no deselect option but the Move/Cut/Copy/Paste is available.
I'm "aware" of the camera on this one and that's generally not good. Doesn't seem to move smoothly (not granular enough) and can be quite frustrating when trying to navigate confined spaces.
Clicking to move a part or group of parts would be another welcomed addition. The select tool does the job, but it's a bit tedious to use.
On the positive side, the cut/paste ability to drop disconnected or sub-assembly type parts into a design was executed perfectly. Part rotation and mirroring was also handled well. I was also pleased to see the symmetry and section plane features... both implemented better than most.
In other creator-type games, I've referred to the practice of having parts stuck to your cursor as "part boogers" and I do find myself looking for ways to fling them off my cursor. I do sorta wish devs would abandon that practice in general. For now, I find myself selecting the eraser tool or paintbrush to rid myself of the booger, but it does cause me to accidentally delete/paint things from time to time. Maybe a simple hotkey to remove the ghostie would suffice?
