Using Magnets

Hi,

Just got the mission where you must tow the cargo ship. How on earth do I go about this? I have a turned on magnet behind my rescue boat but it doesn't seem to connect to the hull of the cargo ship. I tried using a handle on mine to connect it to the cargo boat's magnet but this doesn't seem to be going well either. Pls help!

1, be shure is the same magnet you are using, you cant connect a little magnet into a huge one, also check the force of the magnet, and rise it into the maximum

I had the same problem, but on revising my boat I raised the magnet higher, it then attached no problem. Just be sure to have your height just right.

yes have to attach magnet to a magnet, if i remember correctly, the cargo boat takes a small magnet, so equip your boat with a small one, i used a winch as it didnt effect my boat much. getting it to the cargo ships magnet was the difficult part for me but i got it

I got the magnet mounted in my stern, then just lower the magnet on the cargo ship to the water line and back into it. getting the magnet down might be tricky. seems to have a life of its own. Anyway, when attached (make sure both is on) Just unspool the winch to max and take in the slack afterwards, before gunning it.

When I did it I didn`t have a winch at the time, needless to say it was fun while my boat swayed side to side, I had to keep fighting the steering to try and level out lol. I have a winch now installed on my boat so not such a problem.
