Lightning striking aircrafts
So I was flying with a helicopter in a thunderstorm in a mission, and somehow the heli spun out of control and plummeted into the ground below, in sync with the lightning and thunder sound (my character survived, luckily). I saw the electric breaker was on "off" position after the crash. I don't know if the breaker went off due to the lightning or the crash. Now my question is, are lightning strikes on aircraft normal and can actually disable electricity on the craft?

EDIT: This happened again after I loaded a save, this time i managed to recover from the fall.

What Abracadabra said. If your craft is a certain height above sealevel and lighting strikes, all breakers of this craft will switch to off. Nothing else is affected afaik.

If i remove the breakers and make the electricity flow in directly into the modules will it stop lightning cutting off power or will it just completely disable the craft?

First thing first I remember a year ago when the lightning strike feature came out it stated out it will only strike you when you are 120 meters above sea level, below that you will never be affected. Reguard to electrical breakers, the breakers will be reseted once the lightning strike and you have to manually switch it on again if you don't do so your system will remain off. If your vehicles don't have electrical switches it will only disables the whole electric system for a few seconds after that the electric will restore and run normally. I suggest you not to fly over 1000m in storm or do not place electrical breakers in aircraft. Hope I can answer all your question about lightning.

tip..yes put the breakers back on ( turn on master power again )
And then be aware that i think there is some kind of cool down period, meaning that it might take 5-10 sec before you can start your engines again.

So if there are thunder, then consider flying in +200m height so you have time to react or even wait until you can turn on your engines.

It's been 120m as far as I remember the patch news. Flying below 120m makes you save to lightning.

I always fly well over 300 (ft or m idk, the chopper i use doesn't specify the height unit), so i have time to react and giving the engines time to restart.
