Ordering Fuel
Could we get the ability to order fuel in teh bases to refill the fuel tanks? I'm fine with having a price markup for the delivery but I am not really enjoying playing fuel delivery, I got this to do sea rescues.

I wouldn't mind paying 30% more for a delivery or something.

Depends on the world seed, typically there are nice islands to buy nearby the fuel depot in the seeds I've played. My main campaign has the creative island 2km from the fuel depot

but you still will have to taxi it if you make your base at any of the other HQs

Like you will still be able to buy it there for cheap, but I dont wanna drive 6km one way before every trip to get fuel that usually takes me about 30 min.

Thats why you build what I'm building currently... I'm making two vehicles to buy in bulk and take one trip for a LONG time. I'm building a realistic version of an oil barge I've personally worked on before, and i'll be also building a Realistic Tug boat to push it. If you give me a day or two add me/ remind me I'll send ya a link to it once it's published.

I'd estimate the barge to hold around 60k liters if not more haven't measured it yet.

Did you even read my original post? I don't want to drive around hauling fuel I want to rescue people and build rescue ships. The coast guard doesn't have to haul fuel in the past time either :V

Then don't play with limited fuel? Imagine your in the Coast Guard your a pilot or rescue swimmer you have a team of buddies that do maintenance and fueling on your vehicles.... it adds more depth to the game rather than the same few missions over and over again.

Limited fuel means i can build a capital ship and have it run of a single small fuel tank. That's stupid. I just want to be able to refuel my ships in my own harbours.

I agree here, some kind of ordering fuel mechanic would be great. As you said a markup of 30% and also a delay for delivery. And later on if possible even npc traffic tanker that delivers the fuel to your base you ordered it for.

or MP with cooperative players... I am glad to do hauling i have my own design of a hauler

Spent two hours last night filling my tanker with diesel... hit the rocks outside the fuel island while frantically trying to back out, since waves had picked up and were slamming my keel into the ground. Spent the next hour steaming at 5 knots home while frantically battling flooding, with heavy storms. Should be an interesting day today trying to figure out a way to prevent my 200k units of diesel from capsizing in the channel while waiting for the weather to calm down so I can offload at home base. Wouldn't have that gameplay if I could magically refuel my tanks at base.

Hahahahah! We must be in the same world i had that exact same thing happen with my fuel barge last night! I made it into my home base dock channel with it semi-afloat, and then the waves reversed direction trying to pull my barge out. While discharging it to my fuel truck! Thank god for unbreakable fuel hoses because if the waves sucked the barge out she wouldve sank to the bottom! I managed to kick my fuel truck into high gear and reverse in time to where she sank in the Dock Channel and managed to get all the fuel out!

LOL..... too funny. I'm sure you were sweating bullets like I currently am! My emergency pumps are keeping up but just barely, deck is awash.... one hard roll and it's all over. Very, very nervous captain right now!

Absolutely but honestly this is why I like this game it keeps you on your toes! Every issue I run into a build something to correct it! In this example my issue was caused by my fuel tanking setup! I use to be a Tankermen IRL. So I was the main guy discharging and loading fuel into barges. Hence the reason I made a River Tow Boat and Fuel Barge using two vehicles individually for specific jobs (Barge for fuel pumping) (Boat for propulsion)!

But the winch bugged out last night and shot the connector into the bow of my ship piercing the hull and consequently sinking it as soon as I made it to dock, and later on the barge too!

So I made iterations to all of my creations today! Segregated void tanks like the barges I use to work on IRL. My barge can safely stay afloat with over 150k Liters of Fuel in it. I had one large void tank wrapping around my entire diesel tank setup (Oversight on my part) Which held 300k of Water after checking how much water came in LMAO!
