Amnesia the Dark Descent crashing nearly everytime enemy spawns.

My friend is playing Amnesia for the first time, and I am watching his streaming but most of the times he encounters something when screen enlarges when an enemy spawns. He has also some graphical issue with the textures on. etc. ceiling/roof bugging. Does deleting main_game.cfg deleting from the documents help on the issue or is just outdated driver issue that keeps happening on the eve of crashing.

EDIT: The crash happens especially when friend notices an enemy in his screen, say the enemy spawns behind him, nothing happens. But when you turn around and slightly even see the silhuettes of an enemy, the game crashes.
