Organizing the books

Clearly I'm thick or just not seeing the order. When Remy asks you to sort the books, does any one know the correct order?

It's a logic puzzle, atlhough to be honest. The first two clues confused me a bit, because I didn't quite get whether one was before or after the other. (The wording feels a tad confusing.) I ended up having to look up a guide to it somewhere.

Only then, did it make a little bit of sense.

It can be confusing. It's a lot easier if you have something to write down the clues, Then you can fit the rest in
