I mean. seriously?! I go through the game again only to get slapped in the face with her dying yet AGAIN?!
Writers, that was just so cruel.... you guys really tore me up through all nine levels of Hell with that....
P.S. I was in waterfall tears for the next half an hour.
That you feel so sad during her bad ending and then you try to do right by her and she dies of cancer anyway, right as she's opening up to you and wants to live and be with you. ;-;
EXACTLY what i felt!
It broke me becase it happened so quickly, my dragon husband jumping on an exploding generator trying to shield me from the blast.
Maverick's rage echoed my pain.
To be honest, though, the good ending wasn't that much better for me - killing Maverick with my own hands in a pointless effort to save Izumi made me feel like I'd betrayed Bryce,
even though the epilogue dialogue hinted that he forgave me for it, especially in light of the impending apocalypse.
To narrow it down the most, it has to be between Remy's bad/good ending, Bryce's bad ending,
and Anna's good ending
The moment I got to know Remy I felt a connection to him. I've delt with the same issues that he opens up about, and just being able to know what he goes through is enough to make me cry. For his bad ending, you give him a glimmer of hope then leave him alone. Completely and utterly alone. And with what everyone was pointing out about his tie... I don't want to think about it. And his good ending... he finds something he truly loves, and its ripped away from him.
And its a child, for god sakes. Reza kills a child.
When I got to know Bryce I felt comfortable around him. Before I knew everyone else's stories I always felt awkward around them or I just didn't care, but when I met Bryce and spoke with him I truly enjoyed it and looked forward to every moment I got to spend with him. When he died in the farmhouse I had to step away for 5 minutes to regain my composure after tears fell,
but the bad ending... He sacrificed himself to save us, the true definition of a hero. I just wish the text was more... emotional. After he died like that it was just like "yeah, he's dead". If I was really in that situation I would've been sobbing in front of the entrance, not nonchalant about the entire thing
Anna is... an odd one. I empthsize with her because of the fact she is turning into her childhood friend, her worst nightmare, and she is terrified of it and nearly lets herself go in front of you, but at the same time... how could you wish for Remy to die? He's such a sweetheart, and he's hurting so much. I can't excuse that belief of hers, but her good ending was so bitter regardless. You give her hope of survival, and its ripped away from her and you watch her die.
Its not an ending, but lets not forget about Maverick. I honestly could see it with the short flashback: A rookie to the police force, full of energy, excitement and good intentions who looks up to his superior. He enjoys what he does... until he discovers that his brother has mentally died, and he himself has to kill him. The look on young Maverick's face... I want to hug him.
♥♥♥♥ i'm crying again
and yes I know i bumped the discussion, but I just got the true ending not 20 minutes ago and I just gotta talk about this fantastic game with someone
