Legendary Scrapping. Is this a Joke?! 500 instead of 1250
Everything else yields 2/3 of the cost when you scrap it... With skins, the things that take BY FAR the longest to get (ESPECIALLY NOW THAT FLAGS ARE WORTH 10 INSTEAD OF 100), we get a little over 1/4 of the cost back?! 500 instead of 1250....

Wtf is up with this?! It already took over 65hours to get enough coins for a skin when flags were worth 10x what they were! Now it's going to take over twice as long to get them and we only get 500 coins back for a scrapped skin instead of 1250 coins like we should...? For anyone that doesn't know, rewards are on a time gate. You get a total of 1 at the end of a match after a combined time of at least 30minutes in game since your last one, based on my testing. It is also entirely RNG what you get. So you can't get coins faster by finishing faster or getting a better score. If you do 3 maps of 10 minutes of all hole in ones, you'll get ONE reward. If you do 1 map of 90 minutes and stroke out on every hole, you'll get ONE reward.

I have 400hrs (some of that time spent out of matches obviously) in this game and have only been able to craft 4 skins so far... That's now long it takes. You just made it take WAY longer by lowering scrapping of flags by literally 90%, and then on top of that we don't get anywhere near enough to scrap a skin. This is insane!

I'm sorry for coming across as entitled or rude, but these costs and returns are absolutely absurd now.

If we talk about this in terms of hours. Say I'm spending 65 hours to get a skin, and I can scrap that skin to get only 18 hours back. On top of that, it will now take easily 3 times as many hours to craft a legendary since my time is including flag scrapping which were 100 coins each and slightly common. They were also by far the biggest chunk of my gained coins. Now flags are worth 90% less (10 COINS!) to scrap. Say you got ONLY flags by amazing luck. You would have needed 19 to scrap for a skin (9.5 hours). At their new price, you'd need 188 of them (94 hours)... Now a skin would take like 200 hours at least to afford and you're likely not going to get the one you want, based on my previous numbers. My first 3 were ones I didn't want. Are you just trying to drive up the marketplace cost of skins...?

On the one bright side, at least I happened to scrap all my stuff last night before this patch that I didn't even know about. I had like 12 flags. I would have only got 120 coins for those after this patch, rather than the 1200 I got last night. This is honestly ridiculous.

Hey,

Thanks for your constructive criticism - I understand your frustration. The initial goal was to keep skins rare and valuable. But reading your criticism, we agree that even if we want skins to be rare, we shouldn't discourage scrapping unwanted once, since it takes a lot of time to earn one.

Initially, flags were implemented as special items for the World Cup 2018 only. Later we decided to add even more flags and to keep the high drop rate, which is why we had to change them to uncommon.

Saying all this we will update the game today and change the scrapping from Skins from 500 to 1250.

Thanks a ton for listening to criticism guys! On the one hand, it's still going to take FOREVER to get them now, but at least I can scrap my unwanted ones and get a good chunk back after spending so much time!

So....since getting skins is still taking forever and they are rare but NOT valuable...is there anything planned to increase chances or something?
Are you, as developer, getting some part of market place sellings or is Valve keeping all the stupid fees?
Perhaps you could offer skins in the steam store, for a price that mentally stable people would pay (personally I think I'd pay 1€)?
I have the feeling I'll never reach enough hours of playing to gain enough coins or time.

Yeah, it takes an insane amount of time now. It takes easily 200 of hours to earn a single skin. Don't encourage microtransactions though. We should be arguing for higher coin rates, not puting things behind a paywall... You could just leave your game running on a 30 minute timer at all times and just start it on a new map every 30 minutes. The insane thing is that even if you did that 24/7, it would take at least 3 weeks to buy one skin on average...

Like I said, it's good that we can scrap them now if you don't like the one you got. However, the rate you can unlock them is absolutely ridiculous. I mean that by the definition of the word. As in this should be ridiculed. It already felt long when flags were worth 10 times what they are now, and it took about 60hours to unlock a skin. It's a cosmetic item in an Early Access minigolf game, not some one-per-server best piece of gear in a big MMO.

As you suggested, I'm curious if they get a cut of marketplace sales. There's no other understandable explanation for this unlock rate other than to artificially increase marketplace prices. Who knows, maybe they're driving up the prices and they're giving themselves the skins to sell on the marketplace for profit lol. They could easily have infinite skins afterall.
