Game crashes on start up with fatal error
Everytime I start golf it on my pc with a 4930k and 1080 it crashes on start up I have tried multiple fixes none have worked. tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried deleting save files, tried updating drivers, tried uninstalling gpu drivers completly. When I start the game on my laptop with a 7700k and 1070 it starts fine.

just figured it out by making the game break on my laptop. so this is the fix that worked for me right click golf it in steam library and go to properties set launch options and type in -windowed

Nice one!

@Jonas When testing the windowed mode, I resized the window and everything in the main menu resized and changed positions on the fly. No crash. (Nearly) No glitches. Very impressive.

Crash logs will appear in %APPDATA%/Local/GolfIt/Saved/Logs, Often the reason it crashed is listed there. For me, the issue was I ran out of memory and the game would freeze and unload itself.
