Game crashing my computer
I just got this game. When I try to play it the game works for a little while, maybe 10 minutes, then crashes my entire computer. Not only does the game crash, but my computer blue screens and has to force restart. This doesn't happen to me with any other games, and the laptop I'm using is specifically made for gaming. Does anyone else have this or a simular problem, and if so have any idea how to fix it? I'd like to actually get to play the game. Thanks.

Hey,

Bluescreens can happen von various different reasons, but I think it could be to issues with some drivers/graphics drivers. I suggest updating your drivers, and maybe even selecting DirectX10 or OpenGL when starting the game and see if that helps.

Take care,

Jonas

Besides from many other possible reasons, this can be caused by temperature problems. If your CPU or GPU is getting too hot, it produces errors until it crashes the system.
Do you have a temperature monitor installed, so you can check it repeatedly while playing?
The game is quite demanding in the power and thus making some CPUs run on nearly 100%. You could try to lower the resolution scale or play around with the graphic options if that is the problem.

But could also be something completely different.

Thanks Jonas, I updated my drivers and my computer stopped crashing. :steamhappy:

Rahorah- thanks for the comment, it was very helpful. I can see how overheating can be an issue as my computer started struggling when I started playing GolfIt, lol. Do you know of a good temperature monitor that I can install? I don't want to trust one that I don't know anything about.

UPDATE: I turned all of the in-game settings down to the lowest option and turned the resolution scale down to 30%. Even when opening the game with the OpenGL and playing in a match alone, my computer crashed on the second hole. My laptop isn't over-heating either. I'm probably gonna try to play it on a different computer to see if this laptop is the problem.

Any more suggestions on what I could try?

Thanks,
Lucy.
