Kinda Newbie Question

So, I played the 1st Dig until end and was excited to play #2. I'm on my 2nd attempt and can't even get to the Tubes to clear. I have fast shoes and pressure gun and upgraded light and axe but can't seem to find a way in to the area to clear the tube. Maybe I can get to it with some upgrades but I've been, it seems everywhere and the loot is getting pretty sparse, if not gone.

Could someone maybe give me a clue as to what I should be doing or another approach. I can't believe I've barely started and already seemingly stuck.

Once you get far enough down, there should be this kind of rock that has a long crack running through it. If you hit it on the side with the crack, it should crumble and let you into Red Rock Passage. Also, you need to clear away the rocks in front of the tube with your pickaxe.

THANK YOU! I had tried hitting those rocks but I guess always from the wrong side. Hopefully this will get me going again.
