How to earn upgrades when you've emptied out the map?

So I've 100% the map and removed basically all the resources while doing so. I want to finish the trials but I need better armour and I've no gold left.

How do you earn expensive upgrades when there's nothing left to dig? Just farming enemies will surely take a long time.

That's pretty much the only way - equip an upgrade that increases the chance of enemies dropping the blood stone and farm them.

Doesn't actually take that long. IIRC, the snails drop stuff that's worth about 100$ a piece. You could probably farm a few thousand in 15 minutes.

There is also upgrade to get money every time you kill an enemy.

Thanks, guys. I was hoping there was a better way, but there's a cave filled with snails that's quite easy to farm.
