"The Lava has not been your friend"

I've just cleared an absolutely agonising room full of switches. Now, there's a bandana in a room at the end, I can't get to it because there's a sign that says "The lava has not been your friend" Does this mean I have to clear the room without pressing a single switch? If so, I give up on 100% completion and wish the creator of this game an awful day... with the losing of teeth. This room was horrifying.

Edit: The creator can buy back my love by adding hats.

Edit: I've since finished the cave. using the Jetpack made it slightly less excruciating.

Indeed, you have to clear the whole room without pressing a single switch.

Damn, that's seriously messed up. Hopefully an upgrade in future will make that easier, otherwise, never for me. :-(

Good news is you've already beat it, and the first section is very easy. Also the grapple allows for some planning and breaks as you can hang on the walls for as long as you want. Good luck.

I will pass. It was aggravating enough when I just had to press a switch, but re-entering the whole room if I mess up? Bugger that.

It's easy enough tho. It's a platformer afterall. Sure, I was cursing more than an old mariner, but if I managed to do it, anyone can. Middle bit is the biggest piece of ♥♥♥♥, rest is easy. I might even record that and put it on youtube for you.

Easy enough for you perhaps. But I can't handle the stress right now, so as I said, I will pass. Thanks for the offer though. I just found a Cthulhu cuddly, so my anger is sated for now.... I should get a Cthulhu plushy...

I haven't gone back yet, but have you tried with the jet pack? Does that make things easier?

Depends if it's upgraded or not. It's easy to forget, run out, and fall right on the buttons.
It should help tho.

Ohhh so that's what the sign means, lol when I read it I was a bit confused. Didn't trigger one on the first run through of the room.

I'm not going to lie, that was absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrible. But... I did it, the jet pack helps a lot but it's still pretty painful.Now, to go soak my brain in rum.
