That is: 1 * 0.67 = 0.67
Rounding 0.67 down we get 0
Several spells, miracles, and pyromancies use more than one slot
Not sure if that is your problem, but as above all rounding is down so if you needed a ring to increase whatever, slots, magic damage, etc then you got the correct result.
More slots = more spells. Check your spells and look for # of slots, it is not noticed by all, unless you're focused heavily on magic
Perhaps... the reason is something else. If we remember correctly, it also depends on the catalyst.
- For example, Manus Catalyst halves the cost of spells (and another one related to Big Hat Logan - can be found in the Duke's Archives).
What about spells that can only be cast once? Let's see, it will be exactly 1/2. Or, if in numbers, then it will be equal to 0.5.
Now the real question - the number of spells cast can only be a whole number, so how does the game handle anything behind than a dot / comma / separator?
- Perhaps in the case of the topic's author, the real answer is that the game simply ignores everything after the separator, or rounds it down.
Remember rings/catalysts/headgear (the crown) can double the damage, but half the number of spells. Some can add an attunement slot. Definitely need to pay attention to what your stats are when you change anything dramatic. Even something that doesn't seem dramatic to yourself
