Anor Londo Bug

Hi, i charged the game, i was in anor londo, before the two bosses and then appeared the cutscene of gwendolin that dies and i defeat him, obviously i have been teleported in gwendolin's boss zone. Then all the npcs in anor londo are dead, but other bosses, or others npcs no and i think i can still play it. I read here that was fault of an hacker, maybe someone named Socol-76 or something else, i just banned him from steam. My questions are two: Do this hacker attack only the game, or attack even the pc with virus, (I'm really worried about this, please answer me), i want to know if i can still play tha game in singleplayer ?

Hackers can only affect your save file, your PC is safe, don't worry

You can still play the game. If you want to prevent hackers from ruining your game, there is a solution. Metalcrow's PvP overhaul mod. This mod is tested and it doesn't get you banned and it prevents hackers from killing bosses and npcs. It is very good.

Thanks man, but i'm really disappointed about this situation, and a game that you have to Pay to play, so i uninstalled the game, i lost the desire to play again in this situation.

Unfortunately, this happens a lot right now, since there is a sale for this game. Influx of new players causes more activity from hackers. You can still play the game, your progression is not locked. If you decide to try again, definitely install the mod. Or you can just stay hollow as much as you can, no one can invade you when you are hollow.

If you decide to play again an important precaution is to back up your save file manually.

I don't have DS installed at the moment so not 100% sure but I believe the save file is located in appdata which can be viewed by typing %appdata% in Run.

Just copy the files somewhere and paste them back in if you think you got hacked again.

Ok thanks so much everyone, my worry only was about a possible attack to the pc with a virus, but they arleady told me that this hackers in game attack only files.
