Dark Souls Achievements not appearing!!!

I had just gotten into anor lando and i did not get an achievement for that as well as one for beating smough and ornstein, i am playing in online mode and yet nothing, i have tried restarting steam as well as my computer and still nothing. i would really appreciate any help as i do not want to go through that fight again.

I am not using any mods, just the base Dark souls remastered.

Weird, I also completed a task within the last 2 hours which should've resulted in an achievement, but it did not unlock for me. (Base game also btw)

I have returned with a solution; I simply rebooted everything and attempted to do the task again. Hope that works for you.

Whenever any Souls Gamers discuss achievement failing to kick in -> They Really need to inform the rest of us which achievement you're complaining about
