I think Kaathe is better, buying red eyes is more useful than selling weapons. And if according to the lore, then Kaathe resurrected Manus and gave the ability to 4 kings to suck humanity from their subordinates. Therefore, it is possible that his beautiful tales about the era of humanity are just tales.

You have to be absolutely stoned to sleep all day and love eating "dung pie"like Frampt.

Then again, Dark Souls is so dystopian it looks like "dung pie" is indeed a certified hood classic in Lordran as "dung pie" is not only commonly for sale, it's apparently selling so well even Gough wants in on the action. Snuggly the connoisseur of all fine goods would even trade a Demon Titanite for some sweet, sweet nature's ultimate delicacy. So it's not really a Frampt exclusive thing.

Both are manipulating you for their own goals and means. Kaathe's agenda seems to line up more with mankind's though so I prefer him. He also lets me invade as much as I want and the only benefit of Frampt is that he functions as a merchant that buys stuff from you. Which isn't really that good since you'll get more souls from invasions than selling random stuff to Frampt.

I just pick Frampt because getting to Kaathe is annoying, I don't do DS1 invasions so I don't need to be a darkwraith, and I can just pick the Dark Lord ending whether he wants me to or not. But I align more with Kaathe because Gwyn is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid
