Whats harder? Sl1/No leveling
I recently did a SL1 in DS3 and RL1 in ER (♥♥♥♥ you consort radahn btw). I wanted to do SL1 DS1 next, and I've been thinking. In DS1, the Deprived class doesn't have SL1 but SL6 instead, and SL1 goes to Pyromancer. Assuming I don't want to use pyromancy, except maybe Power Within, which class will be harder to do the challenge with? I only beat DS1 once, so I don't have much experience with bosses, so I'm going to learn the hard way and didn't want to cheese them with pyromancy. I assume Deprived gets access to more weapons, so in theory, it might be easier? If thats the case I will choose Pyromancer.
TLDR: Which will be harder without using pyromancy (except Power Within), Pyromancer SL1 or Deprived SL6?

Shouldn't be any difference between SL1 and SL6. Pretty much the same weapons available to use for you. People tend to Do it with chaos Reinforced Club just for the better AR, but I prefer Giant Blacksmith's Hammer, It has really good strong attack, which Club has not. Anyway attempting SL1 just after beating the game once is pretty crazy. Best of luck to you, cause you gonna need it.

Thank you for answering. After fighting Consort Radahn RL1 for 5 days straight each day for 5-6 hours, I think DS1 will be easy (I'm gonna regret my words, I know it). I think, since Deprived have more Dex, he can use more weapons such as straightswords and whatnot so he might me easier.

Nah you’ll be fine, ds1 combat is considerably slower than ER. Save for the four kings, there really isn’t any other dps race. Just be patient with your attacks.

Yeah, I think I will struggle more with areas than with bosses, except maybe with Manus and Sanctuary Gurdian (he was really tough for me in the first playthrough).

Smaller, faster weapons might be easier to use, but having slower weapon with more damage is better here. You'll be playing it safe, not spamming it. One hit and back off will mostly be your tactic against bosses (except the Kings of course). DLC bosses are the hardest naturally. Sanctuary guardian is a messy fight, not a fan, others are a pleasure when you get into the zone with them. You're definitely crazy already for enduring same boss for 5 days, 5 hours each, so you'll be fine.

Likely Chaos chosen weapon is your best bet.

And lighting againts those who are strong to fire.

DLC bosses are strong to all elemental dmg........

Eventually many bosses will likely 1 shot you with base vit max hp.

So you can be below 20% hp and use a redstone ring which gives+50% motion(AR) modifier that is usually +60-100% more real dmg with split dmg weapons.

Can even use sanctus shields and power within in boss fights.
And get cursed too.

Or even use the dusk item that halves your max hp so sanctus can heal power within's 1%hp dmg as you have very low max hp.....

And you will likely outdamage most basic builds but you die from anything as an Ultra specialised sensitive fragile glass cannon.

Even without hyper mode chaos reinforced club is not bad dmg againts most enemies.

Good luck Chosen Undead.

Thanks for the tip about the shield. My knowledge of DS 1 is pretty poor, as I only played it once, so I don't know all the build possibilities.

The Sanctus shield has a faith req that he won't be able to meet at SL1

Reqs don’t matter, the shield will still give him the passive buff. Just keep it strapped to his back, while he two hands, he’ll get the effects.

Santus shield health regen works even if you do not have enough faith you can two hand weapon and put in on your back.

Will be useless for blocking as it will have penalised stability and no deflection.

This is probably the easiest game to do SL1 runs in, I've done lots of runs over a number of consoles and it has gotten to the point where it's downright relaxing, but all my runs boil down to two-handing the reinforced club and ascending it to lightning or chaos. There's nothing that comes remotely close to Consort Radahn. Even Manus is a slowpoke, though it still gives me trouble sometimes.
