Try playing a real game that takes real skills like Tekken 7 or USF4 with 1 Frame links
It's like saying you made a car with no steering wheel so your car is better than a fully functional Skyline GTR
Until Dark Souls can achieve a skill ceiling that comes anywhere near Tekken 7 and SF4 then I cannot take this game seriously.
The game isn't hard either and doesn't take any skill, that's the next thing
If you want to see a real Souls Like that is actually difficult and takes real skills then try Remnant 2, now that's a real game played by real men.
Next time you want to write a review, go write one. Steam will actually let you do that, and they will prompt you for one. No sense in littering your excrement in a forum where we try to help gamers new to Souls genre.
That's some top tier boredom right there.
Graphics in DS1 looks like dog feces mix with pig feces I love how you all call it "art"
Also Dark Souls 3 map is better, combat is better budget is better story is better PVP is better a superior game than the dead DS1 trash.
This remaster is a joke the game itself is trash compared to any modern souls like.
Why would I subject myself to this ugly trash when there exist Dark Souls 3 have you seen the lighting in DS3? the color palette? the artstyle? how amazing?
It looks nothing like these first 2 trash dark souls 1 and 2.
Sekiro graphics is FAR better than DS1 nastiness.
Sekiro combat is FAR better than this trash, try doing parry in Sekiro and see how satisfying it is.
DS1 is like a turn based game, yuck
DS1 and DS2 are both ugly looking feces with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ map design
Real men with a PC from the 21st century plays real games like Sekiro, DS3, Elden Ring and Remnant 2.
Hadu's just bored and lookin for fights.
They posted basically the same thing on Reddit.
It's a different name so I wasn't sure at first but the talking points are the same so Hadu here is REALLY trying to get a rise out of the community. lol
You know you can edit\append your own posts, right?
EDIT: so you refunded the game and felt so 'put out' by your experience (of less than 2 hours) you required this blast of diarrhea to somehow feel better? You probably spent more time typing this cr@p OP than you actually played. Just sad, no, really...
GET FILTERED GET FILTERED GET FILTERED GET FILTERED GET FILTERED GET FILTERED
- that is straight up wrong. The story is absolutely and its delivery amazing and it is the part of the game that developers put the most effort into.
As for the controls there are 2 things that are bad: buffering inputs and rolls working in only few fixed directions. Except for that everything is precise.
As fot the rest of your comment - you started trying to sound like you're making an objective review and few lines later you went straight into salt-filled whining mode
It's a genre thing. You either roll with it or you don't.
Also the game is only intentionally hard in presentation and marketing. The game is actually very generous when it comes to dying penalty, considering you don't lose actual progress. Bosses you killed, gears you picked up, quest you complete, etc all stay when you die regardless if you used bonfire or not. All bonfire does is mark where you will respawn but none of your stuff is lost outside of souls, and souls are very easily farm-able by mid-game.
The game was initially marketed as being the this mean and tough experience because of the game's lore, really. But the game itself is more of a harsh mistress than a cruel master.
Still, the game is bound to be cluncky, since this is a remaster to a game that was released in 2011. It is not a remake, more of a QoL patch. For a much more fluid experience try Dark Souls 2 or 3 (though you probably would want to play through 1 at least once for the narrative context), as well as other recent FromSoft games like Sekiro or Elden Ring; and if you own a Playstation, you can also play Bloodborne. The later FromSoft games are far more polished and fluid.
Please don't. The game is essentially unplayable with keyboard and mouse. You know something is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when the game tells you to use keys like 'Delete' or 'Insert' to navigate the menu. Or at least that's what the game used to demand the players do on Prepare to Die Edition and I just give up since then. This happens because at the time the devs had no pc gaming experience and directly mapped the various sticks and pads of the controller directly onto keyboard resulting in that mess.
Still, it's most recommended you use a controller to play the game. The game has in general a very bad keyboard and mouse setting and support. It is simply designed to be played with a controller.
