Why is this game still so expensive? And is it ever on sale?

Watched about 100 playthroughs, completed DS2 a long time ago and Elden ring recently, thought I'd pick this up and play it for once. But £34.99? Must think I'm a mug.

It doesn't get bargain bin prices the way it used to. The Dark Souls series are classics now, so it'll go 50% off on occasion but not much beyond that.

Yeah I got that, I was just expecting the base price to be much lower for such an old game. Even if it is the remastered. Got a dark souls itch right now but I'm not paying that.

Whatever your answers are - that is why they keep the price high. Because they are selling enough to warrant the price.

Sales are rare (they've had two I believe), and the standard business reason for a sale is to drive traffic. They don't feel like they need to, so no reduced price and the rare sale.

Put it on your Steam wish list; the next time it is on sale (50%) Steam will email you.

yeah i picked this and ds 2 up for about £40 few weeks back

got it for 27 dollars and ds2 for 20 dollars but not from steam other 3rd party sites
