Why is egg head not evolving?

It's never gonna hatch, I'm afraid - you're just unable to wear headgear and weaker to fire damage.

That doesn't make sense the wiki and everywhere says it evolves after getting 200k souls.

Yer yer, I remember - it's just the kick animation that changes. I think. :) I didn't realise that cost extra.
