Switch Controller Issues

I am currently experiencing some issues using my Switch Pro Controller with Steam Input. On the main menu, I'm able to press a button to make it to the options on the title screen, and I can scroll through them, but I can't select any of them. And if I load into the game, I can move the camera and backstep, but nothing else.

I tried looking it up online, but found stuff that either didn't work, or was entirely irrelevant. I also really do not like playing this game with the kb/m controls, as it just isn't very comfortable for me. If somebody could help me finally fix this, that would be great.

You can check the control button mapping settings, most likely it is misconfigured because I play with my Switch Pro Controller and everything works fine for me

I had that same thought and selected a premade configuration. Still didn't work. I also noticed that the game seemingly didn't even notice I had a controller, as all the keys highlighted on screen were keyboard keys.

Now my controller can't even be used to get to the title screen's options

I have gotten a refund for the game. Console version, here we come.
