Only if you intend to play with people who do not already own Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition. The "Remaster" only features minor quality of life changes and visual adjustments that are not really worth paying for.
There is one helpful video by Crowbcat that illustrates how the graphical "improvements" look worse than the original version of the game. I would include a link, but I think they can get you banned on Steam forums for some reason.
In case you want to play offline and with mods, then you can stick to PTDE.
Personally I like the little quality of life features we got with the remastered. And since I'm playing on K&M, that works much better with the remastered version.
