Chaos eaters and Catarina's knight

Hi!!

I want to kill the chaos eaters to avoid Catarina's Knight dying, but I have no bow (9 DEX). How can I deal against them or most of them so Catarina's Knight survive.

you can aim with crossbows in the remaster if memory serves.

i seem to remember poison arrows don't work if you don't meet the bows dex requirements, but it's worth giving it a try in case it does.

Learn how to free aim with a crossbow. ( Use binocular)

You can also do it in melee combat. Don't talk to Siegmeier, at first go down there and kill the Chaos Eaters , let alive only one. Then go to Siegmeier and start conversation.
But I have never done it this way, I use always ranged attacks.

You can not aim with a crossbow same way as with a bow. Need to use a binocular to shot in the right direction.
