iirc if you approach from the side with the archer it goes a lot better, since only 1 sentinel will be engaged and it will be leashing from you before he finishes summoning.

I don't hate him, but I think he's kind of dumb and fake. And fun fact, faith is one of his lowest stats, lol (he has only 14 faith and it never goes up, even though his other stats go up as his questline progresses). He's basically a 99 Cents Store paladin who doesn't technically even have enough faith to cast Lightning Spear, and yet the game somehow allows him to use that miracle. He's a joke. My next DS1 playthrough is going to start off with me killing Solaire for his gear, and then roleplay as a paladin using his armor, shield, and weapon.

That is a really annoying thing about him, but that's why I always kill those Sentinels before summoning Solaire. I also kill them with poison arrows without them detecting me. It's a slow and tedious method, but it's worth it.

But if Solaire dies while killing the Sentinels then he can't be resummoned without sitting at the bonfire again. Yes...the obvious answer would be to prevent Solaire from dying but that's harder someone might think. But yeah, your way is valid. I recognize that.
