Game progress
What is the recommended progress route after ringing both bells? Right now I'm at Ceasless, SL31, weapon +10 and great hollow and ash lake done (except for the Hydra, ragequitted after 11 bonfire visits/deaths)
So what's next now? Lost Izalith? Catacombs?(I'd like to get the sunlight maggot before) Sens? Darkroot Forest/Garden/Basin? Valley of drakes? Asylum 2.0?

also, how hard is it to go through sen's with a +10 scimitar? I heard that it helps a lot if you can pancake the snakes...

And last but not least: Is this part intended to be played like that? I mean Blighttown is a sh*tty area, the hollow aswell, ash lake is poorly designed, the hydra is a lame boss and Ceasless aswell (yeah I got killed and git gud and so on but both bosses are just huge health bars with lame as f*ck moves that deal good damage)

So right now I'm thinking about quitting the game, just because all that stuff really bored me
and also the fact that you cant warp from one bonfire to another. going the hollow down and then back up...why dude? and that "shortcut" to firelink includes traversing
(-ash lake)
-the great hollow
-blighttown
-the valley of drakes
-new londo ruins
yeah I know interconnected world... would you run all the way from profaned capital to anor londo?

do sens fortress and go to anor londo
Sin Feb 16, 2019 @ 11:57am
Suggested non masterkey route:

Asylum
Firelink
Undead Burg
Undead Perrish (parish?)
Dark Root Garden -> Butterfly (for moss)
Lower Undead Burg
Depth
Blighttown
Backroute blighttown -> Valley of Drakes.
Firelink
Optional: Dark root basin
Sens Fortress
Anor Londo
Ending Related split: Dark Root Garden -> Sif -> New Londo -> 4 Kings for the dark ending.
Otherwise:
Dukes Archives -> Seath
Painted World
DLC if you want to do it here, it's really up to you.
Catacombs
Tomb of Giants -> Nito
Demon Ruins / Lost Izalith -> Bed of Chaos
DLC for special cutscene or skip until later if you don't care for it.
Dark root garden -> Siv
New Londo -> 4 Kings
If you haven't yet: DLC
Kiln of the first Flame.
Credits.

Optional Area not mentioned: Great Hollow and Ashenlake. Do when ever you feel like it. The enemys aren't difficult and the upgrade material may be helpfull or useless depending on your build.
Route adjustments should be based on your build. Sorcerers for example want to visit the vendor in new londo asap and rush dark root basin for Dusks Crown and later on rush dukes archives for Logan / DLC for dark sorceries which are OP.
other builds other adjustments.

What part of the hydra is messing you up? I ask because that bastard had my number....until I figured out to fight him at the far right corner on top of the rock. He's pathetically easy now. Try it.

Hug that corner, wait for him to drop his necks, get a few quality hits in, rinse repeat. You'll whoop his ass easy

Personally, after the 2nd bell, if I haven't done so before, I like to go to the Catacombs, and get the Rite of Kindling and make a fire weapon.

Thanks for all the replies! Currently at Sens and it's a backstab fest. I have to backstab the snakes 3 times and hit them twice, after that they die.
That makes progress kinda slow but hey I hope it gets better at anor londo.

I have the master key so I could do other routes but I'd like to keep it somewhat fair for my level.

It's baiting attacks on one hand, on the other hand my damage isn't great. 450 with chaos fire orb and a pyro flame +9 and power within. 80 with my sword. The fight is kind of an endurance fight with that setup and all this for 10k souls...which I could get at sens by killing the first few snakes (which is boring aswell yeah)
Thanks for the strategy but is it worth it to go down there again? Just for the Hydra?

sounds good but isn't that a pain with no light source? And I kind of need my humanities (have to farm 9 more) to unlock the path behind quelana

Try farming souls so you can buy titanite and large titanite to upgrade your weapon. (if you can't buy large -> Lower blight town -> Green Maggots in the swamp)

Most of the snakes there you can parry or bs to fall down the pit.
You can also try luring them into traps. Use the bow even if it isn't a lot of damage it will agro them and they don't really look out for traps when running towards you.
Scimitar+10 should be good. You can buy charcoal pine resin from female merchant if you need some extra dmg.

For you at this point? Probably not.

Lightsource is only needed in Tomb of the giants. The area after Pinwheel.

NICE!
Thanks a lot, everything worked out. now I'm farming at anor londo to buy some spells and consumables. The giants go down farily easy with some chaos fireballs.

Umm topic change: Where can I repair my FaP ring after I took it off?

1. Kill Knight Lautrec.
2. Give the Xanthous Crown to Snuggly.

For more FaP rings, proceed to NG+.

Nowhere. Rings are not repairable
You can only get one more before going to ng+
