it's a bit harder to get fast rolls in ds1 so maybe it's just that you are having a slow animation. and the game is a bit slower paced compared to 3 too.
We need more detail to give you accurate solutions.
Hard for you to believe but DS:R is a much smoother experience that PtDE. See: Blighttown.
Also, just a data point, DS3 was made years after PtDE. Five Years. Lots of graphic changes in GPUs and the tools, and the game engine for that matter. So, it was not a surprise beyond you not understanding that. And that you are playing DS3 5 years after its release date.
where am i in the game? i rang first bell, didnt know where to go and was going to some random parts idk, after that i realized i completely lost my ability to correctly play the game. also sometimes NOTHING would load and i would see absolutely nothing (textures, models whatever couldn't load for around 60 seconds). after that i just decided to check if i suck that badly or i just got worse
i started new game, knight, defeated first boss after completely failing to dodge literally all the attacks, then i met second boss on a bridge and died in 3 attacks and i just couldn't dodge in time(last time i completed this boss by falling into the pit). like i completed dark souls 3 with no problems and thne i go to dark souls 1 just to die to everything and just to have more lags and areas don't load sometimes and i see skybox
oh and after i watched some DS1 remaster video i was completely astonished by how smooth the game looked like compared to my 28 FPS lowest display settings windowed gaming
if you are getting (very) low fps the entire game just feels crappy though, much more so than most other games. 28 should still be pretty playable though since its kinda made for 30.
