"restricted account" - unban request
hello, coordiales greetings.
1-2 years ago I used difficulty mods for the game (ASCENSION HARDCORE MOD https://www.nexusmods.com/darksoulsremastered/mods/166), simply because I wanted to change the game that I love so much.

But I received a permanent ban apparently and would like to know if it is possible to request a ban, since I really want to go back to pvp.

never use the mod to get advantages for pvp, I consider myself a player with honor.

The anti-cheat doesn't care what mode or cheats you use. Modifying the game to any extent will trigger a ban. In most cases they're permanent, but you could try contacting FromSoftware directly and see if they can unban you.

Send an appeal to Bandai itself through their page, I did it years ago for DS3 for using Cinders mod and within a week they lifted my ban (after manually deleting the save I used with that mod).

rule one for modding any souls games - back up your save and do not ever play online.

You'd need to completely delete the banned save, and request an un ban from Bandai

Not true at all. Stop spreading misinformation.

It isnt misinformation he was spreading. Make whatever graphics mods you want, but you change a single value, whether its a health bar, a damage profile, attack radius, whatever... and you can count on a perma ban.

It was and you're literally proving it with that comment. He's saying any mod will get you banned, you're saying graphical stuff won't, which is correct. Change critical params (critical params, not all params) or use any overhaul mod and you'll essentially guarantee a ban, but anything regarding asset replacements meanwhile is 99% safe. The game doesn't check the asset files at all, in any of the games. DS:R doesn't even use archives unlike the other games or PtDE, everything's just loose in the game's folders.

Also no, it's not perma. You can always write Bamco support and cry them a river and they'll unban you at least once on each of the games.

If you're from Chile you technically want to contact them via their South American/Americas website. It's stupid, but they want it like that. Once contacted NA/Americas support and was told to go and message the EU support instead.

Not quite sure what "knocked out" means, but one more thing. I've looked the mod up and it seems fine, but if the mod adds any new items like weapons or whatever, you might want to delete the character save file, not entire save file, just the character in question, as well. The Ascension mod has new starting gifts apparently, even if those are pre-existing items that are in the normal game, it might could cause issues once you're unbanned and try to log in again.
You don't want any invalid data on a save file, so if a character has an invalid, modded item, even without the mod installed the invalid item ID will remain on the character. As for starting gift.. I don't know if the anti cheat would throw a fit over seeing something that's not supposed to be a starting gift. Starting gift choices are saved to the character in question forever.

So if, when you played the mod, chose a starting gift that wasn't in the original selection of gifts or you picked up any new weapon, a weapon that isn't in vanilla DS1 at all, you might want to delete that specific character slot/save, not the entire save, just that one or however many characters that you played the mod with. You can also google the DS:R save file location and make a backup of your save, in case you wanna go back to the mod characters while in offline mod at a later date.
