i'm pretty sure that reshade does NOT mess with netcode or packets sent outside. it only manages the presentation of the game on your screen. i would say there's nothing to worry about, with certainty.

Is it a mod?
Does it touch the game files; Including textures, characters, etc. ?
PtDE can be modded.
DSR cannot. They will ban you. First ban is reversible.

If you are running a GeForce gpu then you can just alt+f3 to open the freestyle overlay to customize picture settings. Its got 15 different filters with multiple sliders and 40 or so settings. I use it in every game i play. The sharpen and clarity filter plus color vibrance make my games look like im using an entirely different gpu, I have a 2070 super and everyone always thinks im running a 2080+

DS:R doesn't care if you mod stuff like models, textures, animations or sounds. Are we still playing this game?

Reshade should be fine for DS:R, since people have never had issues on DS3 with it. If you want to keep using Freestyle that's okay though. You can use nvidia's profile inspector to enabled the Freestyle flag (I think it's using the Ansel flag) for games that don't support it. Unless they patched it for newer drivers.
