Or start a new char, rush through until you get the divine ember and look if it works then.
it seems that i didn't upgrade any weapon except the Astora's Sword, so i upgraded a normal one to +5 and then allowed me to modify it to divine, lmao
The remastered is full of lovely bugs, it seems. One thing I noticed, which I didn't in the vanilla, is that there is a huge delay between talking to an npc, and being able to use a bonfire, so I was talking to Lady of the Darkling (does she have a real name?) in Anor londo, and then I wanted to level up, just to stand there like a moron, waiting for a button prompt to come up. I had to move back and forth for it to appear.
I wished they would just give us the multiple use item feature and the native 60 fps fix for the vanilla version, so I can play a propber version of the game, not this bug ridden paid patch that ruined several artistic designs.
DSR improved some items, specifically the warp-able bonfire by the skeleton blacksmith and 60 FPS Oddly enough, the majority have potatoes for computers, or worse, old laptops. But they know that the devs only did it for money (and they wouldn't) if only they knew anything at all, much less knowing how to build a computer game.
If you have problems with any Steam game then first verify the installation.
Noboby has to be able to make games in order to criticise software they paid fore. Are you working as a gatekeeper, or is that just your hobby?
PS The bonfire at Vamos's place is the worst bonfire in the game. A new player will not expect the catacombs to be a dead end, so finding this fire in your first playthrough, and using it, traps you at the bottom of the "first" catacombs, making the path up very long and difficulty.
