So now that i'm playing DS again, years later (i used to play on xbox mostly), i've just killed the Moonlight Butterfly and started to realize something: This games makes you bad.

There she is, a beautiful and peaceful butterfly, gazing at the moon, when a scrub of an undead charges in and wants to murder her. She comes out to play, shows you some beautiful lightworks, then you begin to SLAP HER HARD. She gets tired of playing, believes "ok, now we're done, i'm gonna lay down on the bridge so i can show him, like the good girl i am, how it was all fun playing and now we can be friends! Pet me, chosen undead, i'm a good gurl."

AND WHAT DO WE DO? WE BASH HER HEAD IN LIKE A PUDDING WITH A SWORD, THEN SHE DIES. As she fades, you can hear her distant cries of "was i a bad butterfly? i only wanted to play. Why did you murder me? I'm sorry..."

Then she puffs into oblivion. She was only trying to make us happy.
And we bloody decapitated her.

with sif we at least know that's a loyal pup. there are breadcrumbs of 'that's a good dog' for us to collect. like when you kill sif it should drop the soul of a golden retriever, she's so smart she learned how to use a sword.

Exactly. If she wasn't attacking, you could just walk to the ember and grab it. It's a provocation on her part.
