Nope, you have to create your own map in your head, based on what you've seen in the game. To me personally it was great fun, because the world of Lordran is so well put together geographically. But if you struggle with finding some enjoyment in it, you can look for a map online and take a peek at it from time to time.
But in-game, no, no map whatsoever.

For example, you can use this: https://darksouls.wiki.fextralife.com/maps
Maybe it will come in handy.

The areas aren't large enough to need a map, you'll get used to it, don't worry :)

Tell that to people lost in Depths, Catacombs or Tomb of the Giants, huh, Harrison? Huh? Would you tell them that? Huh?

As a form of sadistic trolling, I presume. Depths aren't that easy to navigate, even on multiple playthroughs. Especially when you're panicking seeing four basilisks surrounding you and you're trying to run away in all directions at once.

No maps in-game, but plenty online, curiously. I suppose developers wanted you to get immersed in the game, learn from errors and generally learn the hard way not to go certain directions. As someone who accidentally headed straight towards the catacombs on my first playthrough, I know it can be grueling.

At the beginning of the game, after I died maybe five times at the Catacombs entrance (even before the first bonfire) I got the message: I was not welcome there.

Getting lost is the best way to learn. We've all been lost in the Depths, it's why we are so deeply bonded, as Chosen Undead.

...or something.

"way to learn"?! "deeply bonded"?! Those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basilisks cursed me, Harrison! Do you understand? They cursed me! At the beginning of the game! With no Purging Stones in sight! You call that a bonding experience, you sadist?!

The connection of the maps is so well done that soon you will feel like you are walking in your neighborhood.

Under the condition that your neighborhood is filled with hellish demons, giant undead knights and freaking ancient dragons.
