How to fight with ghosts in New Londo Ruins?
Im new in this game, i know i have to use curse for being able to attack them. Fighting with those mobs for me as melee feels bad unfair and impossible, they run through walls, attack you through walls, spawns a lot so you have to 5vs1 them and hitboxes of them are soooooooo damn bad like wtf they are flying above me attacking me and i can't do anything with that because the game dont detect my hits on them even when i see it should hit. I really thought bosses will be my biggest problem while playing this game but nope lol few ghosts are broken and makes me want to just uninstall this.

the recommended level for new londo ruins is level 50-70 your going there way to early.
dark souls has a funny thing where it just allows you to go into areas way too early than you suppose to.
you gonna hit a dead end once you beat that area anyway since you need an item to progress.

your next step is a fun place called blight town, there are 2 ways to get to blight town (3 if your starting gift was the master key)
the blacksmith sells and item called the crest of artorias which allows easy access to an area near the moonlight butterfly but it costs like 20,000 souls

i want to avoid spoiling it too much since exploration and getting lost is part of dark souls
but remember that bridge with the fire breathing dragon, there's a door near the start of that bridge, the key to the door is located near the area with the armoured boar/big metal pig thing
(you may have already got it, its called "basement key")

The ghosts can only be harmed by certain means - by curse/dark weapons which you won't get this early on in the game, and by applying a tansient curse first. If you pay close attention after entering the area and search around a bit you might find one lying around nearby. Use that item - for the entirety of its duration your hits will be able to harm ghosts.

you didn't understand that post bro :D i know how to use curse to attack ghosts, my problem that hitboxes of those ghosts are so damn bad and they spawn a lot so i have to fight 5vs1, they have big hit range, they fly move through walls and attack through walls, this part of game feels impossible for me

What weapon are you using? Honesly I didn't have much problem with ghosts aside from them moving and atacking through walls. When moving through New Londo I was using Balder Side Sword which has quite good thrusting 1-hand and 2-hand attack and Zweihander

oh, duh, sorry XD

you'll get the hang of it no doupt. :)

Strategy and patience is key the first times around the ruins if you dont know the enemy placement yet - running and weaving through the groups is a hassle.

agro those that are hard to reach and retreat into safe, open areas or long, straight pathways until they align with your swings - even backtracking a bit form time to time is the safest bet not to get trapped by the mobs hidden in the walls since they'll follow you forever. Best of luck!

oh yeah totally! The Zweihander makes easy work of the ghosts if you have the stats to wield it.

idk man im trying and dying 20 times in row in same place, this is not even hard, it's just insanely bad stupid and unfair for the player to fight those ghosts, im stuck in place where you get 3 ghosts going from down and attacking you, and you can do NOTHING about it because they are at down and there is no way to hit them when they are here, escaping inside a room is not working too because you get 6 ghosts spawned here and it's instant death for you, i have literally no idea what to even try vs them

The ghosts are a pain in the ass. A good way to deal with them would be to use a ranged weapon like a bow/crossbow, or spells. Otherwise you have to try and bait them out, make them come closer so you can hit them.

what level are you, new londo ruins is suppose to be a late game area that can be accessed early if you are a skilled player who knows how the game works.

if you know the layout of the area via playing the game or research its quite easy to run past all but one of the ghosts

also while it may be costly using extra Transient curses you can always bait them out and run away when things get tough and heal

ghosts dont have any poise so any weapon you use against them will interupt their attacks, if your having problems still you can farm a few souls and buy some firebombs from the merchant in undead parliment and it should make your time there a bit easier, after a while youll be able to run through that area right off the hop for a few items

Yeah it is really confusing part.
You need to go to Lower Undead Burg.
The door that leads there is on the begining of the bridge with dragon. The key is some where after the pig and before Andre, after the big gate if I remeber correctly.
