Dumb wishful question. Can Prepare to Die Edition players play with Remastered players?

Does Prepare to Die even have official servers, anymore, or just fan servers?

In any case, didn't everyone that had Prepare to Die on Steam get Remastered for free? Not sure I remember buying it, myself, but I might be mistaken.

Servers are still up for now, and it was only discounted.
