Solaire is missing!
I'm trying to get him to appear at the Sunlight Altar, but he's missing! I've gotten him to spawn at Anor Londo, and when I teleported back there, he was gone after I spoke with him. Where is he?

I didn't exactly get where you miss him, but exit the game and launch again. That'll should do it

I tried that twice already and he's still gone. I talked with him when he was on the other side of the bridge leading away from the sunlight altar, I talked with him in Anor Londo, and when I traveled away from Anor Londo, he went missing. I checked Sunlight Altar and he wasn't there. I'm stumped!

Ok, if you exhausted the dialogues in both places, then he just moved to lost Izalith.
Further info would be a spoiler :)

oh alright thanks! I didn't know he could just skip his appearance at Sunlight Altar but if he did then it's all good.

I am not 100% sure, maybe someone else can clarify a bit more the things, but the only thing that makes sense now, is that he is indeed in Lost Izalith

I'm a bit confused because Solaire is sitting there depressed instead of being aggressive and hostile, even though I did nothing extra. Should I just kill him here for his gear, or will he be summonable for the Gwyn fight?

If I remember correctly,in order for you to be able to summon him to final boss is a bit tricky, you need to proceed to the area by shortcut. Otherwise, he ll become aggressive in any case and you ll have to kill him no matter what.

No problem buddy! Solaire's quest is a tricky one. I dont remember having him summoned in final boss, and I ve been many times there :)
