You're new to the Internet, aren't you?
No but you're new to the Soulsborne series and it's hilarious. Crystal Caves is easy because you don't have to fight a single enemy and you can just run the same path every time. The only risk you have is that the Oysters might get into the boss fight with Seathe because there isn't a fog wall until you trigger the cutscene.
Don't worry kid eventually you'll git gud enough to get through the easiest area in DS1.
From what I can tell after experimenting a little, you have to go through some of said terrain to proceed the right way. The lower path is just a dead end with another HP sponge and an item I'll probably never use.
Honestly, the fact that there's next to nothing here to fight just makes it worse... Even the only enemy in the place that posed a real obstacle just jumped off and robbed me of any fun. How does a level pull off being both a silly gimmick and boring?
Even Seath was kind of a snooze fest once I figured out what to so. Granted, the Demon Ruins are a big empty hole full of easy carbon-copy enemies but at least there there's stuff to do. I'm kind of disappointed; the Duke's Archives were neat to look at.
And actually... Having learned that they're just measly straight paths with nothing on them just makes me question it more. So what was even the point of making them invisible in the first place? All it and the snow achieved was making me think there was more to it than there really was. They go out of their way to use an annoying gimmick nobody likes, and then don't even do anything notable with it?? Did they just not have any idea what they wanted Crystal Cave to be? At first it was infuriating; now I hate it for just being a disappointment.
Although on the plus side, I have a reliable source of Twinkling Titanite now and even though Seath is boring he isn't the worst of the Lord bosses (that dishonor easily goes to the Bed of Chaos).
One invisible path in caves takes you to Blue Slab which is useful if you have high int.
IMHO you're better off leveling dex to 40 (after 35 it starts to increase your casting speed, and stops after 45). Note that casting speed is not very significantly useful outside of PvP.
That being said you might consider leveling Faith and getting both Sunlight and Darkmoon blade since you're going to NG+
