How different is DSR from DS1?
So i will change a CD copy of Overwatch with DSR on PS4 in a shop that trades games and hope that i will found what i'm looking for. I know that the game runs in 60 FPS now, and we can wear 2 more rings. I heard there was also a really FPS dropping location in the original? Is that fixed? Are there any editions? And is there anything else about the thing before buying it? Tell me

It's the same game as the original except for running at 60 fps and having some changes to multiplayer (basically uses the same system as Dark Souls 3).
You still wear two rings.
EDIT: it also adds a new bonfire, near Vamos the blacksmith.

i did heard some not very nice stuff about DS1's multiplayer. most of them were about backstabs. Good to know, though

Co-op PvE is not different from any of the other Souls games. That said, when the remastered was released hackers run rampant ruining everyone's characters. Right now they already calmed down, but the online is a ghost town not unlike the current Prepare to Die Edition.
PvP is basically a fighting game where the only attack is a backstab and both fighters roll around each other trying to land one; not something exclusive to the remastered: it has always been like that.
To be fair Soulsborne is a series where PvP has always been ♥♥♥♥ because it's not the point ot the games.

how? it's only few months old. If it's a ghost town on PCs just think of the bloody consoles. Oh no.

Based on my experience with Bloodborne and both versions of Nioh, online for this kind of game is definitively way more alive on consoles than PC.
Consoles had no hackers ruining the game for everyone.

Paid online, gimped settings, no customization, and a closed ecosystem. I'd rather have my freedom with the game's files than the closed and controlled peasant system they have on consoles.

If you want a taste of it on PC just go get a game from the Windows Store and enjoy the console gaming on PC with unmoddable games. :/

I'll take the freedom and tons of features we have on PC than be gimped like the peasants just because of some script kiddies. (I don't call them hackers. They downloaded a program someone else made which takes no skill at all.)
I have a PC, but it's bad. I use my PC to play low-end Source games, and use console to play AAA games. I will buy DSR in a physical PS4 copy, to be safe.

It's DS1 with a new coat of paint.

buy it on console tbh or get DS3 instead tbh, DSR on pc is pretty much dead (currently 1700 online, DS3 12'500)

DSR on PC is dead. Too many twinks eager to tread on others. Too many exploits to abuse. Moreover, much more people play on PS4.

DSR is worse, especially if You want get into PvP.
Changed art design is a joke too.

nope.
for example, in pvp they removed dead-angles while didn't even nerfed backstabs.
they've added weapon upgrade rule to matchmaking which is a joke.

many locations looks much worse art wise to original, less detailed textures (I mean details here, not resolution), green colour filter applied, totally unfitting particle effects (most noticable are bonfire flames, fire sources, blood and hit sparks), plastic textures (armor or skin textures)...

healing changes are not welcome too.

get a modded, cheaper ptde version.

ye ye not true 60 fps my ballz, personally I prefer fps drops in few single spots in game world, better look and pvp than that trash demaster.
