The water reflection actually sucks for that miniboss fight. Just try not to go beyond the body that's there.

If ur staying in the Water it must be enough that she starts with Meele Attacks.
So u don't need to get closer on the edge.

Fall in a couple of times and you'll figure it out. At least, that's how it worked for me. I suggest trying to stay in the region where you find the knight set.

What do you think the hydra is immersed in? Hydra... not a land based dragon... a water monster. If you go too far you fall off the shoreline and considering most game developers don't like animating swimming, diving (cliff or otherwise) or other immersive effects (even halo despite being so big a game) you'll fall to your doom.

There is a ledge under the water with a drop off.

Star down at the water at an angle, to where you can see the ledge under the water, and simply hold your shield up wating for the hydra to bite at you.

Another thing you can do, is orange soap sign where the ledge is.

The water needs to be watched as it goes deep. Also sometimes it has glitched for me and I have fallen through in shallow water, but that has been very rare.

For the far right head (Hydra's far left) the attack sweep is incredibly near the edge. If you don't have a long weapon, it's honestly better to cheese it with a bow. For long weapons I recommend the Great Scythe for Dex builds, Zweihander for Strength builds, ranged for casters, and ♥♥♥♥ you for faith builds. In all seriousness, my main is a faith guy, life is tough.

Or if you're good with lightning spear, you can sort of aim up and hit the head as it pulls back. It's so big it's actually not that hard, might take a few shots.

Alternativley, you can actually hit the body if it's low and you are having trouble with the last heads.
