Partizan vs Silverknight Spear

Hey, I am on a dex build (16 str. 45 dex.) and want to use a spear. I am struggling between partizan and silver knight spear, because they both have slashing attacks on there R2. partizan would do with a buff (charcoal pine resin) 75 more damage than silver knight spear. what would you guys reccomend. or maybe a whole diffrent spear. Praise the sun \[T]/

Why not use both of them situationally (is that a word?), if you like them both?

Silverknight and Demon's are superior to the partizan always. They got a much longer reach making them hader to parry and easier to chainstab with.

Silverknight and Demon's are superior to the partizan always. They got a much longer reach making them hader to parry and easier to chainstab with.

How do weapon length effect chainstab success?

It would really help if you told us what this build was being used for, such as, Meta level, or highter, PVP, PVE or both.

I''m going to assume both, as neither of them are great in pvp.

Between the two, I'd go Silver knight personally. The Silver has a wickedly long reach that can fool a lot of people in pvp, and give you that extra reach in PVE, perma kill the skele's in the Catacombs without killing the Necro; as it has a devine modifyer.
The Silver does weigh more, so you might have to change your armor and rings up to make up that 1.5 units.
Both of them are upgraded with different materials, why don't you try both and make up your mind that way?

The Demon's spear would be a bad choice for him, as it scales with both str and dex (quality)

Thrusting weapons have faster backstabs and the extended reach. Makes the reach on backstabs longer and makes all known chain stab methods a bit easier. I'd recommend asking Dasm1n or supersyan on it though since they are more knowledgible in backstabs anyway.
