His existance is a reminder From still knows jack diddly about anti-cheat anything and has the reaction time of that one Japanese soldier who kept fighting in WW2 ten+ years after it was over.
Google it.
Removing Family Sharing would make it more punishing for people who get permanently banned from the game, as they can't just create an alt account and family share it to play the game on an unbanned steam account.
VAC would achieve something similar. While it might not be a perfect anti cheat solution, incorperating VAC in FromSoftwares own anti cheat would mean that anyone who gets softbanned for hacks would get a VAC ban = No family sharing either. I know for a fact that there are multiplayer only games made by indie developers with VAC which pretty much instantly bans people who use Cheat Engine to make changes.
While neither of these changes would prevent cheating, it would make it a lot harder for the average person to cheat in the game without getting banned.
