Obsidian Greatsword

So im trying to twink and get an Obsidian Greastsword early but cant due to the whole thing about weapon levels and stuff. Dont worry im only ever gonna play in PVE so i dont plan to cheese other players by gaining the system and getting some op ♥♥♥♥.

Anyways im not too knowledgable of the way weapon match making works in dsr but I do know that the reason my friend cant drop the OGS is because I havent picked up something that increases my characters weapon level to match or exceed that of the OSG. So in order for me to get one ill need to figure out what weapon level the OGS is as well as what I can pick up which allows me to reach that.

The Obsidian Greatsword counts like a +5 weapon. To reach this level you can pick the Astora SS, or level up your normal weapon to +5.

How to get it:
Get 30 Dragon Scales > Dragon Torso Stone > do your playthrough in dragon form and kill all bosses with your fists.
Visit Kalameet and hit his tail 5 times with your fist > voila, Obsidian GS earned.

I did this with my SL 10 char. ( But to use the sword I have to level up to 14, need more dex.)

Is it actually only a plus 5 weapon? Cause if thats the cause I can get the lightning spear in Sens which I know is a plus 10 weapon and I can get the OGS from there.

All unique weapons start at +5.
Don't touch the Lightning Spear, it will put you in +10 weapon level matchmaking.

Hm...I can tell you a "secret" : the unarmed dragon fist attack is much stronger, lol. ( compaired with an unupgraded OGS)

That's a given, but OGS has the most style points, and when you're not trying to be a Meta twink I'd say it'd be a sweet way to freak out some newbie players!
